International admissions

Üsküdar runs a dedicated international site with a structured admissions section. The admission-requirements page sets out application documents, final-registration documents, a detailed eligibility list of who may and may not apply, a non-refundable advance tuition/application deposit that is deducted from tuition at registration, the conditional-then-full acceptance letter and visa sequence, the language rule, and the text of the university's foreign-student admission directive. Confirm the exact current deposit amount on the cited official admission-requirements page before payment. It also carries a searchable country-by-country table of entry criteria covering 157 countries and qualifications. Applications are made through the Online Application System at apply.uskudar.edu.tr, which is linked from the page as "Apply Now".

  • Application documents (copies, submitted online or in person via the International Relations Directorate): application form; copy of high school diploma translated into Turkish or English; copy of high school transcript (not required separately if the transcript is on the diploma); copy of passport; photograph.
  • Final registration documents (after the full acceptance letter, for bachelor's and vocational programmes): passport; full acceptance letter; original high school certificate/diploma; original high school transcript; language proficiency examination result (or sit the Üsküdar University English examination). The page states: "All registration documents must be in Turkish."
  • Eligibility: "Applicants must be in their final year of high school or have graduated from high school." The page then sets out in detail who may and may not apply (international students; Turkish citizens by birth who renounced citizenship and their listed children; dual nationals; Turkish citizens who completed high school abroad other than in the TRNC; certain TRNC citizens with GCE A-Level scores) and who cannot (notably Turkish citizens who completed secondary education in Türkiye or the TRNC).
  • Deposit: after application approval, an advance tuition deposit is required for the original acceptance letter. The official admission-requirements page states that it is non-refundable, deducted from tuition at registration, held for one academic year from payment under the same applicant's name, and not transferable, including to family members. Confirm the exact current amount and conditions on that page before payment.
  • Visa: "Foreign students who apply will receive a conditional acceptance letter. After paying the deposit, the student can obtain a full acceptance letter and apply for a visa."
  • Accepted qualifications named in the admission directive's definitions section on the same page: SAT I, GCE, ACT, Abitur, IB (International Baccalaureate), Tawjihi (Jordan), Baccalaureate Libanais, Baccalaureat Francais, Al-Sahada (Syria), Al Tahanawiyya (Libya) and GAOKAO (China). The directive is stated to be based on the Turkish Council of Higher Education's Principles on the Admission of Students From Abroad (21.01.2010).
  • A searchable "Country & Qualification Requirements" section on the same page lists entry criteria for 157 countries and qualifications, plus European Baccalaureate, International Baccalaureate (IB), International Science Olympiads and TR-YÖS. Examples read from the page: Afghanistan - minimum high school diploma grade 50% or Konkurs 265/350; Albania - minimum 6/10; Algeria - minimum 10/20; Armenia and Azerbaijan - minimum 3/5; Australia and Argentina - minimum high school diploma grade 50%; Bahamas and Bahrain - minimum high school diploma grade 60%.
